Tekpak’s Full Packaging Line for Transdermal Patches is a fully automated system designed to ensure precise handling, counting, vision inspection, and packaging of high volumes of small circular transdermal patches. This high-speed system includes vision inspection, counting, cartoning, and case packing to meet the exacting demands of pharmaceutical production lines.

The patches are presented to a camera-based vision inspection system to verify their position and alphanumeric data. The patches are automatically diverted to a reject bin if any data or positioning errors are detected. As the delta robots with multi-pick grippers handle the patches, a secondary vision inspection verifies the quality of the underside of each patch. Any defective patches are individually rejected, ensuring that only in-spec patches continue through the line.

Good patches are collated into groups via servo collators and transferred into carton board sleeves. The system then prints batch information on the cartons and seals them using hot-melt glue for secure and compliant packaging. The line operates at high speeds, driven by four delta robots designed for fast and precise product handling.

Constructed from stainless steel 304 and built to meet pharmaceutical standards, the line features GMP design, fail-safe sensors, and a safety control system to ensure both product integrity and operator safety. This comprehensive system, fully compliant with 21 CFR Part 11, can seamlessly integrate into existing pharmaceutical environments and is prepared for SCADA integration for complete traceability and control.

Tekpak’s Quad Cell Pick and Place for Transdermal Patches is an automated high-speed system designed to meet the demands of pharmaceutical production lines. It focuses on precise vision inspection, accurate counting, and efficient pick and place handling of small circular transdermal patches, ensuring accuracy and speed throughout the process.

Patches are verified by a camera-based vision inspection system for position, alphanumeric data, and quality. Defective patches are automatically diverted to a reject bin, while in-spec patches are quickly handled by multi-pick delta robots within the quad-cell design. A secondary vision inspection verifies the underside of the patch, maintaining high product standards.

In-spec patches are counted and collated by servo collators and then placed into carton board sleeves. Batch data printing and hot-melt glue sealing ensure secure packaging. The system’s four delta robots provide precise handling, maximizing throughput and minimizing downtime.

Constructed from stainless steel 304 and designed to GMP standards, the system includes fail-safe sensors and a safety control system to protect both product integrity and operator safety. Fully compliant with 21 CFR Part 11 and prepared for SCADA integration, it offers full traceability and seamless integration into pharmaceutical production environments.
