Tekpak’s 3-Axis Pick and Place MDI Canister Jig Loader is a robotic system designed for automatically loading empty Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) canisters into jigs for downstream processing. MDI canisters are received from an upstream bulk hopper, transferred via a star wheel for 90° transfer, and fed into a twin-scroll feeder that phases and inverts them. The patches are presented to a camera-based vision inspection system to verify their position and alphanumeric data. The patches are automatically diverted to a reject bin if any data or positioning errors are detected. Any defective patches are individually rejected, ensuring that only in-spec patches continue through the line.

Good patches are collated into groups via servo collators and transferred into carton board sleeves.
